I am the current communications specialist at the University of Florida One Health Center of Excellence. I have a bachelor's degree in Biology from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota (Colombia), a master's degree in Sustainable Development Practice, and graduate certificates in Latin American Studies and Tropical Conservation and Development from the University of Florida (USA).

As a communications specialist, my focus is on making science accessible and understandable for everyone, while accurately transmitting high-level scientific information. I have worked with universities, research labs, and NGOs assisting them to effectively communicate their findings, programs, and accomplishments to the public.

I am an experienced speaker and writer, and I enjoy researching creative and interesting ways to share science with the world. Through my work, I hope to help bridge the gap between science and the non-academic population, which especially now, with global issues like pandemics and climate change, urgently needs to disappear.
