After completing an internship with the One Health Center and receiving a Master of Public Health degree in 2017, I was hired as a project manager to oversee the creation of the Center’s new website. In addition to managing the website, I collaborate on various projects where my veterinary experience and public health education is applicable. My prior education includes a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida in 2003 and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota in 2010. After graduation, I practiced clinical small animal medicine full time in the Tampa Bay area for 6 years. In 2016, I left clinical practice to pursue a career focused on public health research and education, infectious diseases, and the One Health Initiative.
In addition to working at the One Health Center, I also work as a subject matter expert for LifeLearn, a company that specializes in veterinary educational content and programming, and as an adjunct professor at the local college.
In my personal time, I enjoy traveling, geocaching, cooking, photography, reading, movies, and music.
