Our Story

The One Health Center of Excellence in Research and Training at UF was established in 2010 to embrace and promote the One Health vision in UF’s comprehensive campus which hosts  Colleges of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Medicine, Public Health and Health Professions and Veterinary Medicine. Following Dr. Capua’s appointment as Director in 2016, the Center was reorganized to become one of the leading interdisciplinary efforts within and beyond UF.

The One Health Center of Excellence at UF is now an integrative effort between UF IFAS and UF Health with the mission of co-advancing the health of humans, animals, plants and the environment with innovative approaches. These include exploiting the big data environment, applying critical thinking and developing strong interdisciplinary synergies.
