  • October 21st: Discovering the Circular Nature of COVID-19 Digital Talk - Dr. Ilaria Capua with Jeffrey Sachs, Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University
  • October 21st: The One Health Center held a virtual exchange event with Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador. Students from UF were able to have open conversations with students from USFQ during this successful event.
  • October 14th: Discovering the Circular Nature of COVID-19 Digital Talk - Dr. Ilaria Capua with Dale Jamieson, Director of Enviromental Studies at NYU
  • October 8th-10th: Drs. Rania Gollakner and Sara Agnelli presented at The Association of American Colleges & Universities' digital annual conference on Global Learning along with Gabriela Hamerlinck from the Department of Geography.

  • March 16th-19th: Olga Muñoz gave a talk at the CaribVET African Swine Fever digital workshop, hosted by the University of the West Indies. She presented alongside Dr. Victor Gongora on "Active, passive and participatory surveillance options" within Session 2: Disease and surveillance and preparedness.
• December 2019
  • December 10th-12th: Olga Muñoz presented "Understanding how domains of empowerment affect animal source food consumption across three African countries" at Feed the Future's 7th Annual Scientific Symposium in Kathmandu, Nepal.
  • December 3rd: Dr. Ilaria Capua served as a panelist for the Barilla 10th Annual International Forum on Food and Nutrition in Milan, Italy.

  • November 29th: Dr. Ilaria Capua presented "Circular Health: Expanding the One Health Revolution" lecture at the Italian National Science Musuem
  • November 18th: Dr. Ilaria Capua gave a lecture at the Santa Fe STEM Festival in Alachua.  
  • November 14th: Dr. Ilaria Capua and Dr. Sara Agnelli attended the Italian Scientists and Scholars in North America Foundation conference at the Italian embassy in Washington D.C.
  • November 2nd: Dr. Ilaria Capua presented at the NIAF 44th Anniversay Gala in Washington D.C.

  • October 1st-4th: Olga Muñoz presented “One Health Center of Excellence at University of Florida: A New Vision of Health” at the III Simposio de Zoonosis en el Marco de "Una Salud" in Bogota, Colombia.

  • September 4th: Dr. Ilaria Capua received the Prize for American-Italian Relations in Rome, Italy.
• June 2019
  • June 25th-26th: Dr. Ilaria Capua attended the Food from Thought Annual Meeting as a board member in Guelph, Canada.
  • June 23rd: Dr. Ilaria Capua spoke at the ASM Conference in San Francisco.
• May 2019
  • May 26th-31st: Drs. Sara Agnelli, Rania Gollakner, and Olga Muñoz received an IFAS International Travel Reward and traveled to the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia to meet with faculty interested in collaborating with the Center.

  • April 10th: Dr. Ilaria Capua gave a keynote speech at the Vienna European Geoscience Conference in Vienna, Austria.
  • April 2nd: Dr. Ilaria Capua gave the graduation speech at the LUISS School of Government in Rome, Italy.
  • March 31st: Dr. Ilaria Capua gave a speech at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
• February 2019
  • February 11th: Dr. Ilaria Capua received an honorary doctorate from her Alma Mater, the University of Perugia.
  • February 8th (PM): Dr. Ilaria Capua gave a public lecture at Palazzo Ducale Genova as part of the celebrations of Leonardo's 500th Anniversary.
  • February 8th (AM): Dr. Ilaria Capua gave a lecture titled "The One Health Revolution" at Bocconi Universtiy's Broaden Your Frame Seminar Series.
